Over in Manchester,
our correspondent reports that several Election Day workers had to go in search
of a location to vote. The workers, who were originally scheduled to vote at the McIntosh primary school Tuesday morning turned up at the electoral office in Mandeville as there was no polling station at the school. The matter was soon rectified and the election workers were directed to the Anglican Church Hall in Mandeville. Our correspondent reports that a sign has since been posted at the McIntosh Primary school to let other workers know that the polling station was moved to the Anglican Church Hall. Meanwhile, voting at polling stations at the Bellfield High School, Cedar Grove Seventh Day Adventist church hall and the Mandeville police station in Central Manchester is going smoothly. Our correspondent says voting at the Foster Barracks of the Jamaica Defence Force is also proceeding without incident. |
