| Another trip for PM |

Prime Minister Bruce Golding is to leave the island Thursday
for a nine day trip that will take him to Peru
and the United Kingdom.Mr. Golding will lead a delegation to the European Union/Latin American and the Caribbean Summit which takes place from tomorrow until Friday in Lima. The delegation will include Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Kenneth Baugh as well as other senior officials of the Ministry. Mr. Golding will then travel to London where he will be joined by Industry Minister Karl Samuda, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Dr. Ronald Robinson and other Government officials. Mr. Golding is scheduled to pay a courtesy call on Britain's Prime Minister Gordon Brown on Tuesday. The Prime Minister will also meet with Jamaicans in London, Birmingham, Nottingham, and Brixton. The delegation is scheduled to return to Jamaica on May 25. Finance Minister Audley Shaw will be in charge of the Government from May 15 to 17. Dr. Baugh will return from Peru to take charge of the Government from May 18 to 25. |
