Caribbean Police Chiefs will gather at the Sunset Jamaica
Grande Hotel in Ocho Rios, St. Ann
Wednesday to discuss the region's response to rising crime. This is the 23rd staging of the annual conference of the Association of Caribbean Commissioners of Police (ACCP). The group will hold talks on matters relating to regional cooperation in the suppression of narcotics trafficking, terrorism and organised crime. The Police Chiefs will also examine the sharing of services in the areas of training, forensic analysis, research and the management of law enforcement agencies. Newly appointed Minister of National Security Colonel Trevor MacMillan and Commissioner of Police Rear Admiral Hardley Lewin are slated to address the gathering. |
