The tragic death of a student of the Thompson Town
Primary school in Clarendon
has left an air of gloom over the institution. Lenford Morrison, 12, lost his life when he went swimming in a river Sunday afternoon. RJR News understands that he went with friends to the Thomas River in Elgin where he got into difficulty and drowned. His body was fished from the river Sunday evening. When RJR News contacted the school Monday morning, Lenford's Reading teacher Gaye Manning described him as a diligent student. "He didn't like to get low grades ... he was a student with great potential." |
