There is news the Texan
billionaire Allen Stanford will be cutting back pay-outs made to the West Indies territories each year.In 2005, every territory got a stipend of US$280,000 in their first year to revive West Indies cricket and subsequently US$100,000 a year. However, there is news that the Stanford Board approved of a much reduced contribution. Territories outside of the West Indies Cricket board such as the British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands and Bahamas will be cut off. |
