Olympic and World
champion, Jamaican Veronica Campbell-Brown sped to 11.02 seconds and 22.38 to
capture the sprint double at the University of Central Florida
Invitational in the United States on Sunday. Her husband, Commonwealth champion Omar Brown clocked 20.98 seconds to place third in the men's 200 meters with compatriot Sekou Clarke posting 21.25 seconds for fifth place. Clarke also clocked 46.67 seconds to place second in the 400 meters. Deandra Doyley leapt 5.91 meters and 12.39 meters to win the women's long and triple jump respectively. |
