 As questions continue to be raised about the credentials
of Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) Caretaker for Eastern St. Thomas Dr. Omer Thomas,
the ruling party is to decide on his future at its Central Executive meeting on
Monday.The spotlight was turned on Dr. Thomas following his surprise resignation from the Chairmanship of the Rural Agricultural Development Authority on Friday. Questions regarding the JLP caretaker's credentials as an agricultural scientist surfaced yesterday. JLP Deputy Leader With Responsibility for Area Council Two James Robertson said the Party will make a statement on Dr. Thomas following Monday evening's meeting. Dr. Thomas was also Special Advisor to Agriculture Minister Dr. Christopher Tufton. |
