Thieves continue to plague educational institutions in
St. Elizabeth with the latest being the Black River High School. On Friday night, five men armed with sledgehammers and other tools entered the school compound and surprised the watchman. The thieves tied up Roy Stewart, 45, before breaking off locks on the door of the bursar's office and stealing a computer and an undisclosed sum of money. The Black River Police are hoping to make an early breakthrough as they say they are now following some strong leads. This is the third report of a break-in at a school in the parish since April. |
