J’cans secure medals in Martinique PDF Print

At Friday nights international meet in Martinique, Jamaica's Markino Buckley won the 400 metres hurdles in a personal best time of 49.08 seconds and Jovanee Jarrett won the women's long jump with a leap of 6.85 meters.

Elva Goulbourne was fourth with a jump of 6.29 meters.

Nadine Palmer with 22.84 seconds took the silver in the women's 200 meters after clocking 11.39 seconds in the 100 meters.

The American Muna Lee won the sprint double in 11.10 and 21.91 seconds. 

Clora Williams 51.83 seconds and Davita Prendragast with 51.88 seconds were second and third respectively in the women's 400 meters won by the United States' Debbie Dunn in 51.24 seconds. 

Delloreen Ennis-London raced home in 12.54 seconds to take silver in the 100 hurdles won by Damu Cherry in a world leading 12.47 seconds.

Shevon Stoddart with 54.71 seconds was third in the women's 400 metres hurdles won by Lashinda Demus of the US in a world leading 53.99 seconds.

Marvin Anderson 10.12 seconds and Dwight Thomas 10.14 seconds    were second and third respectively in the men's 100 meters won by Ivory Williams of the US 10.07 seconds.
