Three persons, including
an off-duty policeman, were shot and injured during a foiled robbery attempt on
Thursday afternoon. Two women were among the injured. The shooting incident occurred near Consumer Plaza on Constant Spring Road. According to reports two men attempted to rob a passenger bus plying the downtown to Constant Spring route. A policeman who was also a passenger on the bus challenged the gunmen. During the struggle to grab the gun, shots were fired injuring the policeman and the two women. Their injuries are not reportedly life threatening. The gunmen escaped on foot. |
