After more than
four weeks in custody, Cash Plus boss Carlos Hill is finally out o jail.Mr. Hill took up his $15 million bond Monday afternoon. He signed his release papers at the Supreme Court. Mr. Hill was offered bail last week by Justice Bertram Morris despite strong opposition by prosecutors. His brother Bertram was also offered bail last week and took up his bond on Friday. The two were arrested and charged last month following investigations into the collapse of their multi-billion dollar Cash Plus investment company. A third accused, Peter Wilson, who was the Chief Financial Officer at Cash Plus, was released on $5 million bond by the court last month. They are all to return to court on May 14. |
