On
Thursday afternoon Finance Minister Audley Shaw tabled the 2008/2009 Estimates
of Expenditure in the House of Representatives. The country heard how much the Government intends to spend during the new fiscal year which begins on April 1. The Second Supplementary Estimates tabled last week showed that $405 billion will be spent during the current financial year. On April 10, Mr. Shaw will explain how the Budget will be financed. Parliament's Standing Finance Committee will meet from Tuesday to Thursday of next week to review the Budget. |
