| PNP to meet with Kern’s constituency executives |

Embattled
former Junior Minister for Energy Kern Spencer could face senior officials of
the People's National Party (PNP).PNP Chairman Robert Pickersgill and General Secretary Peter Bunting are scheduled to meet at 6 o'clock Thursday evening with members of Mr. Spencer's North East St. Elizabeth constituency committee at the Santa Cruz Primary School. RJR News Centre was informed Wednesday night that Mr. Spencer might be present. The meeting was arranged to discuss the way forward for the constituency following Mr. Spencer's arrest last week in connection with the Cuban Light Bulb Project. Earlier this week the RJR News Centre received confirmation that an attempt would be made to convince him to step aside as Member of Parliament. Mr. Spencer and co-accused, Rodney Chin and Coleen Wright are scheduled to appear in court on March 26th to answer to fraud, money laundering and conspiracy charges. |
