WICB and WIPA headed for another tour fee row PDF Print
Wednesday, 05 March 2008
Image  The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) and the regional players' body, WIPA (West Indies Players' Association) could be heading for another major battle over tour fees.

On the table at the moment is an offer of US$190,000 to approximately 20 players for the recent tours of Zimbabwe and South Africa.

However, WIPA has countered proposed a fee of $650,000 for the 25 days of cricket.

Negotiations are in the early stages, however with less than three weeks to go before the visit of Sri Lanka and then Australia, the WICB is keen to get a settlement.

West Indies defeated Zimbabwe 3-1 in the one day internationals, before being whitewashed in five match series against South Africa after losing the test series 2-1.
