There was a marginal
fall-off in revenue inflows from the betting, gaming and lotteries sector
during the first nine months of the fiscal year. Intake between April and December was $856 million. This was nearly $7 million below what the Ministry of Finance had projected. It was a different story with collection from the environmental levy. Inflows for the nine months were above target. Just over one billion dollars from the levy went into the Government's coffer. The figure represented a $234 million increase over the target set by the Finance Ministry. |
