Offensive images of Jamaican children being posted on the Internet are raising fresh question about the regulation of social networking and video streaming websites.

The most recent images are in circulation in the UK.

A collection of lewd photos showing two underage girls exploring each others bodies have been in heavy rotation in email accounts in the UK.

The girls are seen in a van posing in the nude and conducting oral acts upon each other.

The fact that they have access to a motor vehicle suggests that their behaviour is perhaps being encouraged and condoned by an adult.

In fact in one of the 15 photographs, an arm wearing a man's watch is seen outstretched and petting one of the girls.

The email is being circulated with a title and a commentary that suggest that the girls are from a prominent, traditional high school in St. Andrew.

This is not the first series of photographs of this nature to be circulated locally and overseas of Jamaican children involved in sexual activity.

Earlier this year images were posted of boys and girls in the uniform of a well known Clarendon secondary school carrying on in classrooms on school furniture. In both cases the students' faces and full nude bodies are shown.

There had long been an international call for a social network sites such as BeBo, Hi5 and MySpace do more to police what users do.

A similar debate surrounds video streaming sites like YouTube which allows anyone to upload any video regardless of content.

The sites usually have separate registration for children and users over the age of 18 but this is often easily manipulated by entering a wrong age.

Media experts and police say that the developing trend in youth culture for teenagers to upload footage, sometimes as part of a dare, sometimes to embarrass one of their peers or simply as a means of rebelling. Of course, there are also purporting adults upload images of children for their sexual satisfaction of the pedophile community.
