The
presidents of the College of Agriculture, Science and Education (CASE) and
the University of Technology on Friday signed a Memorandum of Understanding
(MOU) in an effort to deepen programmes offered at both institutions. The MOU is initially valid for five years from the date of signing by both institutions. UTECH's Professor Errol Morrison says the signing of the MOU is in keeping with UTECH's strategic thrust to partner with selected educational institutions to fill the needs of its target market for students in Jamaica and the Caribbean community. This follows closely on the MOU signed with the Caribbean Maritime Institute earlier this year. Both the UTECH and CASE have agreed to cooperate and share joint information on research programmes in agriculture, business studies, hospitality and tourism management, environmental sciences and education. The agreement will also result in among other things the articulation of accredited programmes; joint degree programmes; collaborative research projects and technology initiatives. |
