Campbell & Goule win cross country junior titles PDF Print

National junior representatives Kemoy Campbell and Natoya Goule turned in encouraging performances to win the respective the National Cross Country Junior titles at the Manchester Golf Club Sunday afternoon.

Campbell of Bellefield High dominated the junior men's 6k run to win in clocking 19 minutes:08 seconds ahead of Andre Housey and Kevin White. 

Goule of Manchester High was first across the line in the junior women's 4k run clocking 15minutes:33 seconds with Amoya Bailey and Shevel McDonald second and third respectively.

Damion Bent prevailed in a competitive senior men's 8k run clocking 27 minutes and 14 secconds ahead of Kevin Campbell and Wayne Hector.

Tanice Barnett secured the senior women's 6k run in 23 minutes:53 seconds.

Twishana Williams was second and Stacey Bell third.

The championships will help select Jamaica's team for the North America, Central America Cross Country champions in Tobago on March 6.
