| Jah Cure denies rumours of arrest in Trinidad |

![]() Jah Cure. The Trinidad Guardian newspaper reported that hours before he was slated to perform in San Fernando Saturday night, Jah Cure was arrested at the Hyatt Regency Trinidad Hotel. The newspaper said the singer was held following a court order issued by Justice Sebastian Ventor for failure to pay US$19,993 to a local businessman. But in a statement issued on Sunday night Jah Cure said negotiations had broken down with the promoter regarding a show. According to the statement, Jah Cure and members of his management team accompanied the promoter to a nearby police station where the deposit was returned. It said the artiste was not arrested and was able to fulfill his commitments at a concert which took place at Guaracara Park the same night. Jah Cure was released from jail in Jamaica two years ago after serving nine years for rape. |
