The blood letting across
the country claimed the lives of four persons in separate incidents within a 10
hour time frame. In the latest incident, 27-year-old Davian Singh who is from Caledonia in Mandeville, Manchester was shot by unknown assailants at his business in Anchovy, St. James about 1:30am Saturday. Residents reported hearing explosions and shortly after, Mr. Singh was found with gunshot wounds. He died while being treated at hospital. Mr. Singh's murder followed two fatal shootings in Kingston Friday night. Just after 7pm Friday, the police were called to a shooting at Glebe Crescent in Dunrobin Acres where the body of an unidentified man was found with gunshot wounds. The man is believed to be in the mid twenties. Meanwhile, the Constabulary Communication Network says Joseph Jackson, 33, of Languard Avenue in Kingston and a family member were quarrelling about 6:30pm Friday when shortly after, explosions were heard. Mr. Jackson was found in his yard suffering from gunshot wounds. In St. Catherine, labourer Leroy Hall, 61, of Rose Hall in Linstead was found dead in his house Friday night. The Linstead Police say residents called them about 11pm to report that they had heard explosions coming from the direction of Hall's house. Investigators who responded found him dead on a bed with a large wound on his head. |
