Investigators
are interrogating two men held in connection with the seizure of two illegal
firearms which were seized by the police in Braeton, St. Catherine on Thursday. Commanding Officer for the St. Catherine South Police, Superintendent Marlon Nesbeth told RJR News that the guns were found while personnel were on patrol in Braeton. "Late afternoon, police from OCID (Organized Crime Investigation Division) ... went into the Phase One area of Braeton where they saw a group of me. In accosting the men, they went on to search premises occupied by two of theses men and found the guns," he said. The weapons, a .38 revolver and a .357 Magnum revolver, were both reportedly found with six live rounds of ammunition. |
