Minister Karl Samuda says the publication of a survey of bank transaction
charges has been delayed until next week.The findings were scheduled to be published to the press on Wednesday but Mr. Samuda says it was delayed because he ordered the survey's format to be amended in order to make it more user friendly. "This survey was presented to me and when I looked at it, I realized it had to be more user and reader friendly and clearly and easily understood. Also, it had to be in a format that is appropriate and I wasn't satisfied so I asked them to rework it and we're hoping to get it out early next week," he said. The Commerce Minister had announced his Ministry's intention to publish the various rates being charged by the banking industry, as part of efforts to give the public useful and pertinent information on which to make business decisions. |
