Jamaican footballer Ian Goodison of English Premier League One club Tranmere
Rovers will serve his 4 match ban after Manager Ronnie Moore decided not to
appeal his red card dismissal in Saturdays 2-0 home win over relegation-doomed Hereford. Having already been sent off once this season, defender Goodison will automatically serve a four-game ban. He will subsequently miss the remaining three games of the season plus the first leg of a play-off semi-final if Rovers finish in the top six. The 36 year old recently agreed to a 2 year contract extension with the club. Davis also suspended In the meantime, another Reggae Boy defender Claude Davis has been
banned for the final three games of the English Championship season for his
elbow on Cardiff City captain Roger Johnson. The on-loan Derby man was not punished by referee Russell Booth for the incident that led to Johnson going to hospital on Saturday. Cardiff City were so incensed by the challenge that they asked the English FA (Football Association) to review the footage. That was done and Davis received a three match suspension. |
