After being in police custody for four days the man said
to be involved in Monday's fatal shooting of 34-year-old Special Constable
Richard Hamilton is scheduled to be interrogated by detectives Friday. His attorney has threatened to go to court to secure his release if he is not charged by Friday. Dwayne Smith, 23, of a Kingston 11 address, surrendered to the police Monday afternoon. Mr. Smith turned himself over hours after the body of Constable Hamilton was found in a burning car at the intersection of Finch Crescent and Woodpecker Avenue in Kingston. |
