 A section of Grant's Pen Road in St. Andrew is to be closed on
Monday for 12 weeks.The National Works Agency (NWA) said the road will be closed in the vicinity of Grant's Pen Drive and Shortwood Lane in order to facilitate construction of a Box Culvert. The culvert was damaged during the passage of Tropical Storm Gustav in August last year. The alternative route for motorists travelling from the direction of Barbican towards Constant Spring Road or Waterloo Road is Grant's Pen Avenue, Markland Drive onto Shortwood Road. The reverse obtains for motorists travelling from either Waterloo Road or Constant Spring Road towards Barbican. The roadway is expected to be reopened by the end of March. |
