There has been another
decline in the country's Net International Reserves (NIR). According to information from the Bank of Jamaica the reserves dipped by US$28 million last month. As a result the NIR ended the year at US$1.7 billion down from US$1.79 billion at the end of November. The NIR dipped sharply late last year after the Central Bank intervened to shore up the value of the Jamaican dollar. |
