| Coach gets suspension for abusing officials |

Portmore United's under-21 coach Desmond Smith was fined
$10,000.00 and placed on probation for the rest of the season by the Jamaica
Football Federation's Disciplinary Committee. Smith was ejected on three occasions for foul and abusive language directed at the officials during the course of the season. Lijyasu Simms of Meadhaven United, who was also ejected from the under-21 end of round final for using foul and abusive language, was fined $2,000.00 and reprimanded. Meadhaven United player, Nackwayne Parchment was fined $1,000.00 for two counts of violent conduct and reprimanded. The Portmore United duo of Andre Dyce and Cornelious Henry were each fined $500.00 and reprimanded for violent conduct. |
