The Jamaica customs department and the Kingston CIB are still Investigating the case of two women who were caught with nearly half a million US dollars at the Sangster International airport on Christmas day.         

The two females who have not been identified arrived on a flight from the United States and were discovered by immigration authorities to be transporting nearly half a million US dollars.    

When questioned about the large quantity of cash, the women could not give a valid explanation.

They were then taken into custody by the police.

The money is still in police possession but the women have not been charged and it is unclear whether the women are still in Jamaica.

Efforts to contact the Kingston CIB to get an update on the matter proved unsuccessful.
