Scotiabank joins Road Safety Campaign PDF Print

Image With injuries caused by accidents costing health care providers $1.2 billion annually, Scotiabank has stepped up its Road Safety Programme in order to reduce the number of children involved in road fatalities.

Scotiabank, in collaboration with the police has taken the Road Safety Programme to St James, where at least eight children lost their lives in recent months along busy thoroughfares.

At Friday's launch of the Western leg of the programme, Public Corporate and Government Affairs Officer at Scotiabank Joylene Griffiths Irving urged the students to be mindful of the lessons being taught.

As part of the programme, the bank is providing audio visual equipment as well as supporting print material and promotional items to several police divisions.
