Byron Lee.  As Jamaica continues to mourn the passing of musical icon Byron Lee, Jamaicans, former colleagues and other influential figures in Britain have acknowledged him as one among the best.

Jamaica's High Commissioner to London Burchell Whiteman told RJR News, Mr. Lee was an exceptionally talented musician and his passing is a great.

Meanwhile musician and actor, Count Prince Miller, who has worked with Byron Lee and the Dragonaires, described him as a gentleman even as he sought to entertain and bring communities together.

And Trinidadian Lewis Benn, a director of the Notting Hill Carnival, said Byron Lee was an entraordianary performer who was always a part of the Trinidad and Tobago Carnival each year and would be sadly missed.
