In the face of more persons losing their money in their
desperate bid to gain employment, the Labour Ministry has once again warned
persons to be careful when signing up for jobs overseas. In a notice in Sunday's newspapers, the Ministry noted that persons claiming to be its agents are soliciting funds from members of the public claiming they can assist them in finding jobs in Canada and America. The Ministry says it has not authorized anyone to operate on its behalf in this respect. The Ministry also reminded the public that there is no registration fee for persons wishing to register in its overseas work programmes. Persons who have been so approached are being urged to contact the police. |
