Division Superintendent Harry "Bungles" Daley will be going to court
Monday with a petition seeking his release.Attorney-at-law Valerie Neita Robertson who is representing Superintendent Daley told the RJR news centre that her client underwent four hours of questioning on Saturday. "We have advised him to just remain in custody until the courts are available on Monday, unless the police indicate to us exactly what they are doing in terms of getting our client before the court, we will have to petition the court," she said. Superintendent Daley was arrested on Thursday during an anti-corruption crack down. It's believed that he had been under investigation in relation to a multi-million dollar extortion racket. Several houses said to be owned by the senior cop were also raided on Thursday as investigators searched for clues to build their case. |
