Two men killed in Portmore PDF Print
Monday, 28 July 2008
Image Gunmen Monday morning snuffed out the life of two men in Waterford, St. Catherine.

Dead are Michael Gayle,45, otherwise called "Blacka Paul" and Ricardo Peterkin,24, "Quart Oil" both of Waterford.

A source in the St. Catherine South Police Division told our News Centre, that both men were among a group of persons playing dominoes at the corner of Palmetto Way.

Just before 3:30 a.m. two men reportedly walked up and opened fire at Mr. Gayle.

He died on the spot.

The gunmen then turned their guns on Mr. Peterkin, who had taken refuge behind a barrel.

He was said to be of unsound mind.

The police are theorising that the shooting is a reprisal for an attack over the weekend in the same community.

One man was injured in that incident.
