Gunmen Monday morning snuffed out the life of two men in Waterford, St. Catherine.Dead are Michael Gayle,45, otherwise called "Blacka Paul" and Ricardo Peterkin,24, "Quart Oil" both of Waterford. A source in the St. Catherine South Police Division told our News Centre, that both men were among a group of persons playing dominoes at the corner of Palmetto Way. Just before 3:30 a.m. two men reportedly walked up and opened fire at Mr. Gayle. He died on the spot. The gunmen then turned their guns on Mr. Peterkin, who had taken refuge behind a barrel. He was said to be of unsound mind. The police are theorising that the shooting is a reprisal for an attack over the weekend in the same community. One man was injured in that incident. |
