Despite a
decline in revenues the Jamaica Livestock Association (JLA) managed to realize
a profit for the first half of its financial year. For the six months to May 31st, the JLA recorded a $14 million profit compared to a $635,000 loss during the corresponding period last year. During the period the company saw its earnings decline by more than $100 million to $526 million. However, it managed to eke out a profit by controlling expenses. |
