Member of Parliament for South Manchester Michael Peart
has apologized for comments made in Parliament a week ago regarding Energy
Minister Clive Mullings.Mr. Peart tendered his apology during Tuesday's sitting of Parliament. Speaking during the Sectoral Debate last week Tuesday, Mr. Peart made statements regarding Mr. Mullings' handling of the Cuban Light Bulb investigation and issues concerning former Junior Minister Kern Spencer. The statements did not go down well with Mr. Mullings. In issuing his apology, Mr. Peart said he was speaking figuratively and did not mean to offend Mr. Mullings. "In my presentation, I used some words figuratively, however, the Minister took my words literally and for that I'm deeply sorry," he said. Mr. Mullings who was present during Tuesday's sitting accepted Mr. Peart's apology. |
