Jamaica Olympic Association
(JOA) President Mike Fennell has responded fiercely to recent criticisms about
the country's lack of a fully established national anti-doping organization and
inadequate testing of local athletes. The JOA is presently responsible for carrying out drug testing locally until the national anti-doping organization is fully established and Fennel explained that the organization could be fully running as early as next month. Fennell, who is also president of the Commonwealth Games Federation says comments by the likes of Dr. Adrian Lorde, President of the Caribbean anti-doping organisation which cast doubts about the level of dope testing done locally were misinformed and malicious. |
