| Three charged for illegal DVDs |

Three persons were arrested on Wednesday morning as the
police continue their crack-down on the illegal practice of selling pirated
DVDs.The three were taken into custody in downtown, Kingston during an operation by the Organised Crime Investigation Division. Deputy Superintendent of Police Conroy Reid told RJR News that more than 500 illegal DVDs were seized in the operation. "The persons arrested are Kevin Maxwell o/c ‘Fire Drill', 31 years old of East Street in Kingston, Sheldon Lamar Turtino o/c ‘Don Tino' he is 20 years old of Mark Lane and Walford Esson, 45 years old, he is a battery technician of Glasspole Avenue Kingston 2," he said. "They were all charged for breaches of the Copyright Act. They are scheduled to appear before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on July 21," he said. |
